The Energy Efficiency Fund will allow the installation of individual heating points under the “Energodim” program

The Energy Efficiency Fund plans to launch a new “Superlight” package of the “Energodim” program.

As reported in the press service of the Foundation, the “Superlight” package will provide for the installation of individual heating points in buildings, which will help optimize the consumption of thermal energy in high-rise buildings, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

The Fund reminded that from March 2022, the acceptance of new applications for participation in the “Energodim” program was temporarily suspended, however, the acceptance and processing of applications for project approval, changes to the project, for verification and extension of the project implementation period continues.

Since the introduction of martial law in the country, the Foundation introduced a number of simplifications of the “Energodim” program, the majority of condominiums gradually moved within the framework of the program, developed project documentation, performed construction works, carried out their verification and completed their projects within the specified terms.

During the period of martial law, 80 projects were completed within the framework of the “Energodim” program; construction works have been partially completed in 102 projects. The fund compensated condominiums in the amount of UAH 708.1 million. Also, 350 applications for verification for reimbursement of partially or fully completed works were received and all of them were approved.

As noted in the press service, with those condominiums that stopped at the submission of application number 1 and did not even begin the process of developing project documentation, the Fund is forced, under the terms of the grant agreement, to terminate it early. The exception is beneficiaries located in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. A separate decision of the Fund’s supervisory board will be made regarding such beneficiaries after the cancellation or cessation of martial law.

In the first half of 2023, 124 grant agreements were terminated. According to these contracts, condominiums must return the funds reimbursed by the Fund for energy audits performed.

During the conclusion of the grant agreement for condominiums, the Fund reserves its full cost for each project, these funds are not used for other projects. The amount of reserves released after the termination of the contracts will be enough to launch new initiatives of the Fund.
